Global Manhunt After 12-Year-Old Boy Dies in Fatal Hit and Run

Dolars Aleksanders, 21, is the main suspect in a worldwide search. He is wanted in connection with a hit-and-run accident that killed a boy in Coventry.

Keaton Slater, 12, was hit by a black BMW on Radford Road last Friday just after 430 p.m., and the driver then took off.

Aleksanders, who is wanted for causing the death of the boy by hazardous driving, had his mugshot made public by West Midlands Police.

Police said at a news conference that the hunt for Aleksanders, a UK resident who was born in Latvia but may have departed the nation, is now ongoing internationally. Instead of approaching him, they urged people to notify the police immediately.

It happens at the same time that Keaton’s distraught family released a heartbreaking video of him unboxing a brand-new iPhone in January of last year in an effort to get people to tell others what they know about Alexanders.

Alan Edwards of the nonprofit Crimestoppers offered a £10,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s whereabouts.

They said their organization is providing a reward to assist the authorities in their search for Aleksanders. They want to remind everyone that they can remain entirely anonymous while contacting them, especially those who might be scared into silence.

As headteacher of Cardinal Newman Catholic School, Emma O’Connor notes that Keaton made a significant impact on everyone he met, even though he only joined the school in September of last year.

She said that everyone at Cardinal Newman would miss Keaton profoundly, along with his amazing grin and fantastic sense of humor. What most impressed people was his good nature, which led to his popularity among instructors and students.

Following the accident, Keaton’s heartbroken father, Clint Slater, posted a memorial on Facebook, saying he was their small family’s ray of sunshine and spirit.

Coventry-born Tottenham midfielder James Maddison posted a fundraiser for the young football fan’s burial. It had earned almost £50,000.
