Nationwide Protests and Business Closures

In a show of opposition to President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, numerous U.S. businesses, including nurseries, grocery stores, and salons, participated in a “day without immigrants” protest. The demonstration saw widespread participation across the country, with many establishments closing their doors for the day.

They love illegal aliens and criminals so much that they’re willing to shut down their own businesses…

In Los Angeles, demonstrators took to the streets carrying flags and banners with messages such as “Immigration Built This Nation” and “Abolish I.C.E.” The protest aimed to highlight the significant contributions of immigrants to the U.S. economy and society.

The decision to participate in the protest was not without its challenges for many workers and business owners. Financial constraints and fear of potential ICE raids deterred some from joining the demonstration.

“If I don’t go to work today, that’s one day less that I have, you know, to be able to pay for my next rent,” Noel Xavier, an organizing director, said.

Andrea Toro, a salon owner in Chicago who closed her business for the protest, expressed concerns about the impact on her clients, many of whom are teachers. “If we don’t have immigrants, we don’t have any work around here,” Toro said.

If businesses depend on illegal aliens to survive…then that’s a problem. They should be hiring Americans.

Intensified ICE Raids and Policy Changes

Since President Trump’s return to office, ICE raids have intensified across the United States, including in major cities like New York City. Over 3,500 undocumented migrants have been arrested, with daily arrest rates significantly higher than during the previous administration.

The Department of Homeland Security has ended a policy that previously restricted ICE arrests at sensitive locations such as schools and churches. Additionally, the Trump administration has reinstated the “Remain in Mexico” policy for asylum-seekers and plans to send 1,500 more troops to the southern border.

“Criminals will no longer be able to hide in America’s schools and churches to avoid arrest. The Trump Administration will not tie the hands of our brave law enforcement, and instead trusts them to use common sense,” the DHS confirmed in a statement.

President Trump’s proposal to house illegal immigrants at Guantanamo Bay has drawn sharp criticism from various quarters. But it doesn’t matter, because the flights have already started.

MSNBC host Katie Phang and contributor Paola Ramos likened the plan to a “new chapter in the War on Terror,” raising concerns about the conditions in detention facilities and the potential for racial profiling.

One day, maybe, the left will admit that championing illegal aliens over American citizens is wrong…
