Trump Posts AI-Doctored Image to Back His Claim About Harris-Walz Rally Crowd Size

Former President Donald Trump has doubled down on his claims that Kamala Harris is using artificial intelligence (AI) to manufacture images of large crowds at her rallies. Harris critics have pointed to an apparent lack of reflection in her plane’s engines, which do not appear to show the roughly 10,000 people gathered to greet her at an airport in Detroit. Nevertheless, video footage of the event confirms it was not faked, and even Trump supporters have urged him not to pursue the matter.

Additionally, several people from among the crowd live-streamed the Vice President’s arrival, and dozens of photos from separate individuals have circulated online. The Harris campaign hit back and posted a tweet mocking Mr. Trump and asking why he has not campaigned for days. Harris’s team also issued a statement about the former President’s online interview with Twitter owner Elon Musk.

Musk and Trump spoke at length on the platform on August 12 after a raft of technical glitches delayed the start of what Musk described as the “interview of the century.” Mr. Trump advertised the event by returning to Twitter and posting there for the first time since the platform’s previous owners closed his account. When Musk took over, he restored Trump’s account, but the former President refused to use it, opting instead for his own platform, Truth Social.

Throughout the discussion, Trump referred to the Vice President as “incompetent,” “third rate,” and a “radical left lunatic.” Harris replied, claiming the interview showed that Trump’s campaign is focused on people like himself – “self-obsessed rich guys who cannot run a livestream in the year 2024.”

Several social media users pointed out that Trump spoke with a notable lisp, prompting widespread mockery and memes depicting the former President as Donald Duck. However, some people came to Trump’s defense and said the audio quality of the software often produces an effect that sounds like lisping or slurring.

Just over 1.2 million people listened to the conversation live and heard Musk repeat his endorsement of Donald Trump, telling him, “It’s essential that you win the election for the sake of the country.”
