During the Republican National Convention, it seemed as though former President Donald Trump’s Republican party family turned out in the masses, as well as his own immediate family. The scene inside the RNC this past week has been a full venue, to say the least, with thousands of Trump’s supporters and political allies such as MTG, Tucker Carlson, and Trump’s 2024 Vice President pick J.D. Vance. The turnout appeared to be an important and emotional one, following the recent assassination attempt on Trump’s life at his recent campaign rally last Saturday.
Along with a sea of audience members wearing red, prominent political figures, the former President’s family has supported Trump by attending the convention and giving touching speeches about their historical relative. On the third night of the RNC, Trump’s eldest son, Donald Jr. introduced the audience to his daughter, Kai Trump who delivered a heartwarming speech about her grandfather and the side of Trump that is not covered by the media.
Kai Trump, granddaughter of former President Trump, is the oldest of five children between his son Donald Jr. and his ex-wife, model Vanessa Trump. The 17-year-old took before the Milwaukee stage to share personal stories about her grandfather that the rest of the world does not see. Kai shared that despite her grandfather being the 45th President of the U.S., Trump is still just a “normal grandpa” to her. The young Trump shared humorous stories about her grandfather, including how he gives his grandchildren candy and soda when their parents aren’t looking. Kai Trump also stated that her grandfather is always concerned about how his grandchildren are doing in school. The crowd laughed along to Kai’s candy stories and cheered for her as she concluded her speech alongside her father.
Kai had taken to social media before the night of her RNC appearance to announce that she was honored to be speaking at the important political event.
