Watch Gwen Walz Talk to Americans Like CHILDREN

What is wrong with the Walz family? Seriously, if you thought Tim Walz was bad, take a look at the way his wife, Gwen Walz, talks to the American people.

At a glance:

  • Gwen Walz, wife of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, posted a TikTok video assigning Americans “homework” to vote, which sparked negative reactions on social media.
  • Many users criticized her approach, accusing her of treating voters like schoolchildren.
  • This isn’t the first time Gwen has faced backlash for her campaign trail mannerisms, with past remarks about Donald Trump drawing similar criticism.

Gwen Walz, the wife of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, recently stirred up social media with a TikTok video urging Americans to vote. In the video, she adopts a teacher-like tone, assigning viewers the “homework” of getting themselves and three friends to vote by November 5th. Gwen, a former schoolteacher, used her experience to encourage people to take voting seriously, even putting on her “teacher glasses” to emphasize her point.

Her message, however, was met with a lukewarm reception. Much like students reacting to an unwanted homework assignment, many on social media were less than enthusiastic. One user commented, “Wow… they really think Americans are stupid. Just blows my mind how Democrats think so little of the American people.” Another added, “She is painful to listen to. Can’t handle that for 4 years,” referencing concerns over her style.

This isn’t the first time Gwen Walz has faced criticism for her campaign trail appearances. In September, she was mocked for an animated speech she gave in Wisconsin, where she loudly proclaimed, “Bye Bye Donald Trump!” at a campaign event. The Trump campaign quickly shared a clip of the speech online, with critics labeling her remarks as “cringe” and accusing her of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Conservative circles have also coined the nickname “Tampon Tim” for Governor Walz, referencing a 2023 law he signed requiring Minnesota schools to provide menstruation supplies in boys’ restrooms. This name has resurfaced in reactions to Gwen’s latest video, with critics using it to mock both her and her husband.

Despite the criticism, Governor Walz praised his wife’s speeches, saying, “When Gwen Walz speaks, people always say why isn’t she running? She’s an English teacher, words matter.” However, it seems many online remain unconvinced by her style and message.

Of course he praised her. Why wouldn’t he? It doesn’t mean he’s right. Words DO matter, and her words are weird.
